Figure Painting
In this free choice project, advanced painting students were allowed to create whatever kind of painting they liked, as long as it depicted the human figure. We studied a range of art historical examples prior to beginning the project, including Degas, Klimt, Schiele, Diebenkorn, Freud, and Neel. All works were painted in oil on canvas, with the exception of one student who chose to work in gouache on paper.
