Colored Pencil Mandalas
Third and Fourth Grade students learned about the Buddhist practice of creating sand mandalas for meditation. We used rulers and pencils to design our own mandalas with radial symmetry, then colored these in using colored pencil gradients, varying the value from light to dark.
